Editing production blog

Welcome back to the blog. In today’s blog we will be discussing the editing part of our film. For the editing portion we had to meet up in class and work together to edit our music video. Because Lucas is not in the same class as us, me, Rhys and Luke edited it by ourselves. Rhys brought all of his equipment from home. This included his camera, SD and his computer. He recently had to restart his computer so some thing he downloaded for this project was not available. We had to download the software before we could do anything. That took about 15 minutes. During that time we decided that it would be best if we planned a little bit more. We decided to replace the soccer scene with the video game scene. After the software was downloaded we opened it up and signed in. The first thing we did was put all of our videos into a folder. After that we cut them to the correct lengths and made sure it was timed correctly. We then added the music on the back of the video. We watched it all together to make sure it was OK. We still had to add some videos though because Rhys forgot to send them to his email so he could upload them to his computer. We will work on that later when he is ready. This is what we did for the editing portion of our music video. I hope you enjoyed our blog.

Editing for My Final Task

  Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the editing process for my final task. Unlike last year, where I had a lot of help from my group, this year I'm alone. Last year, Rhys from my group took charge of most of the editing, and the video turned out great. However, this time around, I don't have that luxury. So, I had to figure it out on my own and I learned some new skills in the process. First things first, I scouted out different software options for editing. Many required payment or personal information. I then stumbled upon CapCut, which turned out to be a great choice. Once I imported my clips and added them to the software, along with the opening credits I'd already prepared, I was surprised to find that my footage exceeded five minutes. Production Blog: Planning

  Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about the planning process that took place. My group mates and I worked very hard to plan out our final project. There were many steps that were involved in making our final project. One of the major things that we had to do was our storyboard. The storyboard is a scene-by-scene depiction of what we are going to film. This is very helpful when filming because we have something to go off of rather than just trying to throw it all together last minute. Another thing that was really helpful when planning was our title research because we were able to find similar movies and look at their opening scenes in order to get ideas of what we would like to do. This also helped with the storyboard because we were able to decide where to embed titles. It is very important to consider placement of where these titles should go.
