Production Blog Re-editing

Image
Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will be talking about the reshooting process. Although Rhys is injured he was able to edit. I was not there during this process as I couldn't make it. My groupmate Rhys is the only one in our group with any editing experience. But to give him ideas my other group mate Luc FaceTime him to give him advice. Because he wasn't there for filming, I put the clips in order and sent it to them. Luc made sure that all the clips were in order before Rhys put them in the software. Luc helped him decide where title should go. Although we had a clear picture Luc just wanted to make sure Rhys was able to do it correctly. Towards the end of this process, I was able to hop on a call with just Rhys. Luc had guests over at his house and was not able to help Rhys the whole time. I said I would help as much as possible. Although I did have other things going on. I helped wreaths with the last couple scenes and Luc was not there when we worked together

Production Blog Re-shoot

Image
Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will be talking about reshooting our film. We have a major problem because our group mate Rhys was in an accident as you may know. This set us back because we needed to do reshoots. We were hoping that Rhys would get better soon but we had to continue without him. That would mean starting completely from scratch. This was going to be very annoying because we had done all this work just to restart. We also now have a shorter amount of time because the deadline is approaching rapidly. We did do some things a little differently. Instead of having the dialogue be scripted we chose to talk about something off the top of our heads. For some reason we chose dialogue that compared ketchup to barbecue sauce. It did flow much nicer than our original script. I feel that me and our other actors did very well in this part of the film. We got the exact same amount of shots as last time but my groupmate Luc was worried we did not have enough. I feel lik

Production blog: peer review

Image
Welcome back to my blog. In this blog, I will talk about our peer review. One of my longtime friends helped us out by reviewing our film. My friend Aiden was also in the video. We thought I’d be easy because he knew what we were doing. He also knew everything we need it in her video for the perfect grade. He really give us great pointers about what we need to do. Although we did not take all of his advice, he was really helpful. He told us that the camera was a little shaky and didn’t feel that the titles fit very well. Luke took full responsibility and said that his camera worked did not turn out great. In the past Reese has done all of our filming, but since he is the main star, he was not able to film. Aiden also said that our speech needed some work because it felt “unnatural “. Another big issue was the lighting some scenes. It was difficult inside the house because we forgot to turn the lights on. He commented on some other stuff, but we believe that it would look fine, so we d

Production blog: hospitalization and editing

Image
Welcome back to my blog. In this blog, I will talk about my group mates injury and editing. What is my group mates? Rhys     has been injured. It is very sad and he was hospitalized for two days. He was on his bike then was making a turn at a fast rate and slipped on some leaves. He is in a full arm cast and has scars all over his body, he broke his wrist and he hurt his teeth. This was a big problem because he was our editor because he was in the hospital. We had to delay our editing process. It took a long time but we are finally able to edit together. We used da Vinci software to edit our video, we put all the clips together and shorten them down to see if they work. It was very difficult to get the titles at first until we figured it out. Another thing that was really difficult was our transition scene. It is very unfortunate that Rhys is hurt for him and for us. We decided that we need to re-shoots and he was our main star. I believe that we are going to have to completely re-sh

Production blog: Filming

Image
Day 1  Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about our first day of filming. The first day of filming was great. I felt that we were very productive, and although we got a lot accomplished. It was very difficult for us to all work together in order to make things happen. One reason for this was because my friends wanted to hang out rather than help us with our project. So it was very difficult for us to get them all sitting down and working together. We did have to take several breaks, and we just hung out and played games. The reason we did this was so they would be able to sit down once they did something fun. One big mistake was one of my friends did not wear a plain shirt. We need to plan shirt in order to embed some of our text into it. Luckily, I had a shirt from a long time ago that would fit him. It wasn’t the exact color we wanted but it would work.  Day 2 For our second day of filming, it was a lot less effort because my friends did not need to be there. So it was

Production Blog: Setting a date

Image
Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about filming dates and things we need for the project. although we just had spring break we need to get back to work. During spring break I went to Colorado and my group mate Luc went to Ecuador. My other group mate Rhys stayed in Florida for spring break. Because we where all busy during spring break we did not do much work.  Because of this we had a lot of work to do in a little time. We started pick a filming date which is this Wednesday the 5th. this date was best for myself and my groupmates. The reason for this date is because we are both busy Tuesday. Also we need to think about the actors. So, I asked my friends what day would work the best for them and they agreed Wednesday would be best. So with that in mind we got our props ready. My group mate Rhys  and I had to wear blank shirts in order to put text on them. So, we searched our houses for the perfect shirt. He also needed his camera and his skate board. We also needed foo
