Final Touches

Image
Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the final touches I need to make to my short film before it's ready for the big reveal. First up, let's address the audio. I've received feedback that the dialogue volume and background music need some tweaking. The dialogue should be more prominent, and the background music should be toned down to strike the right balance. Another adjustment I've made is extending the duration of the black screen towards the end of the film. This change allows for a more impactful moment, providing viewers with a moment to reflect on what they've just seen. Once I felt satisfied with the edits to my film, I turned my attention to my website. It's essential to ensure everything is in working order before sharing my work with the world. Peer Review

Welcome back to my blog! Today, I want to dive into a peer review I received for my film. First I started by picking the person who would review my film. This comment indicates that the blackout scene where a character passes out needs to be extended. This adjustment is crucial for conveying the intensity or significance of the moment, allowing viewers to absorb the impact fully. The music is way too loud in the chase scenes. This feedback highlights an issue with the audio balance, specifically in the chase scenes. It's e

Editing for My Final Task

Image
Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the editing process for my final task. Unlike last year, where I had a lot of help from my group, this year I'm alone. Last year, Rhys from my group took charge of most of the editing, and the video turned out great. However, this time around, I don't have that luxury. So, I had to figure it out on my own and I learned some new skills in the process. First things first, I scouted out different software options for editing. Many required payment or personal information. I then stumbled upon CapCut, which turned out to be a great choice. Once I imported my clips and added them to the software, along with the opening credits I'd already prepared, I was surprised to find that my footage exceeded five minutes. Initially, this seemed overwhelming. It actually forced me to trim down unnecessary shots and focus solely on the story. With all my clips in the software, I began editing my opening scenes, embedding titles,
