filming production blog day one part one

 Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will be talking about the first day of filming. After we planned what day, time, and where we will meet, I began to prepare for filming. As a group we all met at my house last weekend. Luc, Rhys, and Lucas arrived around 1pm and we had a quick snack before getting to work. The first thing on our to do list was to film all of the inside shots. We decided that this would be the best thing to do first so that we were not sweaty after we filmed outside. Rhys filmed Lucas playing the piano. We shot many different angles, and many takes so we could pick and choose what shots were best. We are on a schedule so we could not afford to reset another day. After the piano shot, we headed outside to film our rood scene. I carried the ladder over, made sure it was sturdy, and then I climbed up. Rhys and Luc transferred the equipment and props up to the roof once I was settled. As a group, we decide that it would be best if Rhys and Luc were playing the guitar while I filmed. When we finished filming that scene, I climbed down and prepared for the next scene. The next scene involves me riding and electric bike and whizzing past the camera at full speed. We did many variations of this including changing the angle and having me pedal instead of just cruising along.  In my next blog I will continue to detail our first filming day.

Editing for My Final Task

  Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the editing process for my final task. Unlike last year, where I had a lot of help from my group, this year I'm alone. Last year, Rhys from my group took charge of most of the editing, and the video turned out great. However, this time around, I don't have that luxury. So, I had to figure it out on my own and I learned some new skills in the process. First things first, I scouted out different software options for editing. Many required payment or personal information. I then stumbled upon CapCut, which turned out to be a great choice. Once I imported my clips and added them to the software, along with the opening credits I'd already prepared, I was surprised to find that my footage exceeded five minutes. Initially, this seemed overwhelming. It actually forced me to trim down unnecessary shots and focus solely on the story. Production Blog: Planning

  Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about the planning process that took place. My group mates and I worked very hard to plan out our final project. There were many steps that were involved in making our final project. One of the major things that we had to do was our storyboard. The storyboard is a scene-by-scene depiction of what we are going to film. This is very helpful when filming because we have something to go off of rather than just trying to throw it all together last minute. Another thing that was really helpful when planning was our title research because we were able to find similar movies and look at their opening scenes in order to get ideas of what we would like to do. This also helped with the storyboard because we were able to decide where to embed titles. It is very important to consider placement of where these titles should go.
