Planning Production Blog
Welcome back to my blog my name is Daniel Brinkworth. In this blog we will talk about the planning process that took place for our music video. A big help in planning is our storyboard. Which was really helpful in preparing for the music video. The storyboard had everything planned out. So, we knew when to pretend to sing. It also helped us know if we need to perform a certain way. In our storyboard, we wrote down the times of when that scene would start. Before we did our storyboard, we had to find a location. This was very difficult because we needed to have an idea before we could start thinking of a location. Another big thing in planning the music video was time and it was hard to find time to film because we all have busy schedules and there’s four of us this time rather than three when we did the commercial. It all worked out when we found a day that we didn’t have anything, so we set aside three hours to work on our music video. Now that that was all worked out, we need to decide who would bring what. So, I sent out a list of everything we needed, and people texted what they had, and we were left with a soccer ball, but nobody had it. So, we decided we would have to look back on that later and maybe film it in a different area when we do get a soccer ball. A couple things I wish we would’ve done better for planning the music video is started earlier so we had time for reshoots. Instead, we had limited time to shoot the music video. Another thing I wish we would have done is talk more in the group. One of the kids in the group was in a different class so it was harder to talk with him. As you can see the planning process has many different parts.
