Production Blog: Planning

 

Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about the planning process that took place. My group mates and I worked very hard to plan out our final project. There were many steps that were involved in making our final project. One of the major things that we had to do was our storyboard. The storyboard is a scene-by-scene depiction of what we are going to film. This is very helpful when filming because we have something to go off of rather than just trying to throw it all together last minute. Another thing that was really helpful when planning was our title research because we were able to find similar movies and look at their opening scenes in order to get ideas of what we would like to do. This also helped with the storyboard because we were able to decide where to embed titles. It is very important to consider placement of where these titles should go. As a group we need to discuss and agree where each title should go. We also needed to decide where the titles will come from and what they will be embedded on. Another thing that was really helpful was our planning blogs. On these planning blogs we decided important information like when to schedule our filming, where we should film, what time of day would be best and safety precautions. We also decided backup plans in case something failed. This was very helpful because now we have an exact plan of what we are going to do and when. it was very important that we communicated with each other in order to find time in our busy schedules to film. We also needed to put into consideration the schedules of other people who will be our actors. The reason for this is in case one of them can't make it, we needed to make a backup plan.
