Production blog: hospitalization and editing
Welcome back to my blog. In this blog, I will talk about my group mates injury and editing. What is my group mates? Rhys has been injured. It is very sad and he was hospitalized for two days. He was on his bike then was making a turn at a fast rate and slipped on some leaves. He is in a full arm cast and has scars all over his body, he broke his wrist and he hurt his teeth. This was a big problem because he was our editor because he was in the hospital. We had to delay our editing process. It took a long time but we are finally able to edit together. We used da Vinci software to edit our video, we put all the clips together and shorten them down to see if they work. It was very difficult to get the titles at first until we figured it out. Another thing that was really difficult was our transition scene. It is very unfortunate that Rhys is hurt for him and for us. We decided that we need to re-shoots and he was our main star. I believe that we are going to have to completely re-shoot in order to save this project. We will work very hard and try to get it done before the due date. I really hope Rhys will be OK and in the future we will plan for issues like this. Although I hope this never happens again it did teach us a valuable lesson. Thank you for reading my blog.
