Production Blog Re-shoot

 


 

Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will be talking about reshooting our film. We have a major problem because our group mate Rhys was in an accident as you may know. This set us back because we needed to do reshoots. We were hoping that Rhys would get better soon but we had to continue without him. That would mean starting completely from scratch. This was going to be very annoying because we had done all this work just to restart. We also now have a shorter amount of time because the deadline is approaching rapidly. We did do some things a little differently. Instead of having the dialogue be scripted we chose to talk about something off the top of our heads. For some reason we chose dialogue that compared ketchup to barbecue sauce. It did flow much nicer than our original script. I feel that me and our other actors did very well in this part of the film. We got the exact same amount of shots as last time but my groupmate Luc was worried we did not have enough. I feel like our camera work was a lot better this time because Luke has gotten the feel for it. We were not able to use our groupmate Rhys camera because he was still injured. So we had to use our phone which was a new experience for Luc. Even though he did not have the camera we used last time he was able to persevere and complete this. Hope you enjoyed my blog. Editing for My Final Task

  Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the editing process for my final task. Unlike last year, where I had a lot of help from my group, this year I'm alone. Last year, Rhys from my group took charge of most of the editing, and the video turned out great. However, this time around, I don't have that luxury. So, I had to figure it out on my own and I learned some new skills in the process. First things first, I scouted out different software options for editing. Many required payment or personal information. I then stumbled upon CapCut, which turned out to be a great choice. Once I imported my clips and added them to the software, along with the opening credits I'd already prepared, I was surprised to find that my footage exceeded five minutes. Production Blog: Planning

  Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about the planning process that took place. My group mates and I worked very hard to plan out our final project. There were many steps that were involved in making our final project. One of the major things that we had to do was our storyboard. The storyboard is a scene-by-scene depiction of what we are going to film. This is very helpful when filming because we have something to go off of rather than just trying to throw it all together last minute. Another thing that was really helpful when planning was our title research because we were able to find similar movies and look at their opening scenes in order to get ideas of what we would like to do. This also helped with the storyboard because we were able to decide where to embed titles. It is very important to consider placement of where these titles should go.
