Website and Postcard Production Blogs



Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will be talking about the process of making my website and postcard. This aspect of the project was a lot of fun because it was a new thing that we did not do in AS level. I first started with my website so I could later include that in my postcard. I used a website generator to make my website. I started with making an account and filling out all of the proper information. After that I had to start making posts about this short film and the process for making it. Then I finally got to the fun part, making the home page and designing my website. For the home page I used a picture and name of my movie with text on how to learn more about my film. I filled out all of the information on the website and then created social media accounts to include on the website. In these accounts I could post about the film, my website and postcard. I only had the ability to open two accounts a Twitter and an Instagram. I then started working on my postcard. For the postcard we had to have a front and back. I decided that the front would be flashy and have the film title with little information. For the back I decided this is where I would put lots of information like background, social media, and a QR code that takes viewers to my website. Once my postcard was finished I thought it would be good to put it on my website as well. I then embedded it into my website in the About Us section. This was one of the best things I worked on outside of the actual filming. Thanks for reading my blog.

Editing for My Final Task

  Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the editing process for my final task. Unlike last year, where I had a lot of help from my group, this year I'm alone. Last year, Rhys from my group took charge of most of the editing, and the video turned out great. However, this time around, I don't have that luxury. So, I had to figure it out on my own and I learned some new skills in the process. First things first, I scouted out different software options for editing. Many required payment or personal information. I then stumbled upon CapCut, which turned out to be a great choice. Once I imported my clips and added them to the software, along with the opening credits I'd already prepared, I was surprised to find that my footage exceeded five minutes. Production Blog: Planning

  Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about the planning process that took place. My group mates and I worked very hard to plan out our final project. There were many steps that were involved in making our final project. One of the major things that we had to do was our storyboard. The storyboard is a scene-by-scene depiction of what we are going to film. This is very helpful when filming because we have something to go off of rather than just trying to throw it all together last minute. Another thing that was really helpful when planning was our title research because we were able to find similar movies and look at their opening scenes in order to get ideas of what we would like to do. This also helped with the storyboard because we were able to decide where to embed titles. It is very important to consider placement of where these titles should go.
