Second editing production blog

 Welcome back to my blog. In todays blog I will be talking about the second day of editing. The second day of editing occurred today in class. This was best because most of my group members were there expect for Lucas who is in a different class. We were given time today in class to work. Before we got started my group started Rhys had to complete his production blog. After he finished those, we took a look at what we still needed to finish and what we need to improve. We discussed with Lucas over the phone to get his input. I voiced that we should make the video of Lucas playing the piano longer. Rhys had a better idea so we decided to go with that. Rhys had the idea of having Lucas play the piano and then cutting back to the roof scene. We all agreed that this would be the best idea. Rhys went in and fixed it with his editing software. We had to add 2 new scenes. Rhys emailed the scenes to himself and then we found a place to put them in our video. We watched it a few more times to check for more issues. Rhys then brought up another issue. When we rewatched the video we didn’t film the clips in landscape like we were supposed to. We had to use the one shot that we took that was landscape and scrap the others. This editing portion was more productive than the previous days because we problem solved. Editing for My Final Task

  Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the editing process for my final task. Unlike last year, where I had a lot of help from my group, this year I'm alone. Last year, Rhys from my group took charge of most of the editing, and the video turned out great. However, this time around, I don't have that luxury. So, I had to figure it out on my own and I learned some new skills in the process. First things first, I scouted out different software options for editing. Many required payment or personal information. I then stumbled upon CapCut, which turned out to be a great choice. Once I imported my clips and added them to the software, along with the opening credits I'd already prepared, I was surprised to find that my footage exceeded five minutes. Initially, this seemed overwhelming. It actually forced me to trim down unnecessary shots and focus solely on the story. Production Blog: Planning

  Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about the planning process that took place. My group mates and I worked very hard to plan out our final project. There were many steps that were involved in making our final project. One of the major things that we had to do was our storyboard. The storyboard is a scene-by-scene depiction of what we are going to film. This is very helpful when filming because we have something to go off of rather than just trying to throw it all together last minute. Another thing that was really helpful when planning was our title research because we were able to find similar movies and look at their opening scenes in order to get ideas of what we would like to do. This also helped with the storyboard because we were able to decide where to embed titles. It is very important to consider placement of where these titles should go.
