Who will I be working with?

 

 Welcome back to my blog. I am Daniel Brinkworth and I attend Fort Lauderdale high. In this blog I will talk about my groupmates or if I did it individually. For this project I chose to work individually. There are many reasons that I chose to do this project individually. The first reason is because I want to control the film. I realize that I sound like a control freak but let me explain. Last year for my final task we had to make an opening scene for a movie. My groupmates wanted to do something simple which I would have rather done something more fun and more mechanically difficult. Now that is in the past so this year, I chose a different route. By working individually, I can do more creatively with my final task.  Another reason why I chose to work alone is because my partners were not always dependable. Last year I ha =d one incident happens in my final task. My groupmate Rhys hurt himself when we had to reshoot one scene. I understand it is not his fault, but we had to reshoot the whole project. I was very upset because it took hours to film and edit all over again. But the past is in the past and now it time to move forward with this year’s final task. The last reason is because there is not a lot of people that I think I would work well with in A level this year. Very excited to start this project. Thank you for reading my blog.

Editing for My Final Task

  Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to talk about the editing process for my final task. Unlike last year, where I had a lot of help from my group, this year I'm alone. Last year, Rhys from my group took charge of most of the editing, and the video turned out great. However, this time around, I don't have that luxury. So, I had to figure it out on my own and I learned some new skills in the process. First things first, I scouted out different software options for editing. Many required payment or personal information. I then stumbled upon CapCut, which turned out to be a great choice. Once I imported my clips and added them to the software, along with the opening credits I'd already prepared, I was surprised to find that my footage exceeded five minutes. Production Blog: Planning

  Welcome back to my blog. In this blog I will talk about the planning process that took place. My group mates and I worked very hard to plan out our final project. There were many steps that were involved in making our final project. One of the major things that we had to do was our storyboard. The storyboard is a scene-by-scene depiction of what we are going to film. This is very helpful when filming because we have something to go off of rather than just trying to throw it all together last minute. Another thing that was really helpful when planning was our title research because we were able to find similar movies and look at their opening scenes in order to get ideas of what we would like to do. This also helped with the storyboard because we were able to decide where to embed titles. It is very important to consider placement of where these titles should go.
