Meet the group!

 Welcome back to my blog. I am Daniel Brinkworth and I attend Fort Lauderdale high. In this blog I will talk about my groupmates and the how we picked the groups. The groupmates I picked are the same as my commercial. The reason for this is because I feel like I can trust them because we have been through so much. The reason I did not pick the same groups as my music video is because one of those groupmates did not do there part. I though about doing this project on my own. The reason for this is because I wanted to test my skills. The reason I did not do it individual is because my groupmates have many skills that I don't. My groupmate Rhys has great camera skills along with editing skills. My groupmate Luc is very creative along with me. Me and Luc come up with the ideas and Rhys helps create it. Rhys was going to join a different group but we agree that it would be best is he was in our group. The reason was because we had worked well together in the past. For this project all week we have started getting ready and have been think of ideas. We have been researching genres and movie topics. I hope there is no problems with this group. Because we have worked together before I feel there will be no problems I am so happy to be working with my same group. I hope that we can succeed in our final task. thank you for reading my blog.

  Example film of your genre- Chuck Steel: Raging Balls of Steel Justice   Common Sound in your genre- In many action films there is a common sound of gun shots and police sirens. In this short film there is also non-diegetic sound where music is play to show tension. Also lots of dialogue between the good guys and the bad guys. This dialogue is very different from the dialogue between the good guys and other characters because when talking to the bad guys there more aggressive.   Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) in your genre- In short films there is usually a good guy and bad guys. Many action shorts have police officers with bullet proof vests and weapons. The bad guys in action shorts and have larger guns and seem to have control of something of value. Movie Conventions Research: The Pale Blue Eye

Welcome back to my blog. This movie follows some of the conventions of mystery movies, but it also goes against many common conventions . Most of the story-based elements discussed in our genre research, like an enclosed area or wealth as a motive, were not present in this film . More specifically, in the case of going against the convention of enclosed areas, the movie has many outdoor shots spanning wide areas, including wide shots of dozens of men in the forest . Instead of wealth as a motive, the movie had revenge as a main motive for the killings . The biggest example of breaking conventions was the twist at the end of the movie . While having a twist is common , this particular instance was not, as it was revealed that the detective was the killer .
