Day 3 of Filming!

Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm thrilled to share about the final day of filming for my short film. It's been quite a journey, and I'm so excited to see it all come together. Day 3 was a bit easier compared to the previous days since I didn’t need any actors besides myself and the shots weren't too difficult. But don't let that fool you. It was still a crucial day because these shots were most important in telling the story and setting up the ending. I started off the day by setting the scene for my film where I was driving to the Pickleball courts to meet my friends, feeling rushed and in a hurry. This rush led to some trouble when I went to hang up my bag and it ended up falling. It was a bit chaotic because my bag ended up falling behind someone else's, making it hard for me to spot. Planning- The Core of the Filming Process

Schedule For this short film my filming schedule will be 3/22/24 – 3/30/24 for many of the scenes. The reason for this is because I am filming my short film in Colorado over spring break. My plan is to film the opening credit parts in Florida, I can then edit them to see the amount of time I need to fill up in Colorado.  Location The locations for this film will be at my house in Florida and on the mountains in Colorado. The Colorado location is a popular ski resort that I go to every year twice a year. For this reason I feel it will be easy for me to navigate where to shoot for my film. Participants For this film I will need at least 4 actors. My family has decided they can help and there may be a couple of friends who are also coming to Colorado. Health and Safety Health and safety is very important especially in an action film. I agree that helmets and protective jackets must be worn. This is in case of falls when skiing. I Made a Huge Mistake!

Welcome back to my blog. The title should tell you every thing. I'm feeling a bit stupid because I've made a huge mistake. Let me give you some context. Last year, for our final project, my group and I split filming between spring break and afterward. This year I assumed the same schedule and deadlines would apply. I was so wrong! My entire project hinged on my spring break plans. I didn't even bother to check the due date. I know what you are going to say "What were you thinking?" Trust me, I've been asking myself the same question. Now, I'm forced to fall back on my backup plan, which isn't exactly what I had in mind, but I will make it work. It's back to the planning and storyboard for me. On the bright side, I did manage to start filming my opening scene, so it's not a complete disaster. I can't help but feel frustrated with myself for this oversight. It's a lesson learned the hard way. I'll definitely be more observant in check...
