Title Research: Manhunt

Welcome back to my blog.

During this opening sequence we can see many titles. Which include the name of the movie what film company presents it and the production company. It also shows us book this movie was based off along with edited by, produced by, and directed by. There are many images that catch your eye when you are watching this opening credit. First there are many photos of people who seem to be wanted kind of like the title says manhunt. It also shows various details next to the picture as if they had done a history of what these people did um who they know and what their interests are. This films genre is military and war. This is shown through all the investigative work and all of the terrorists. The white background really makes the red text pop and also gives us the feeling of a lot of bloodshed. This helps with the war side of the genre. Giving us names of the terrorists with background really gives us an idea of what is going on in this movie. This helps appeal to the target audience because the target audience would be military or anyone who is interested in more and would be interested in this historical knowledge. There was not many camera angles but there were transition and editing techniques used. What transition used was a slide up right left or down to show us a different part of what seems to be a list of all known terrorists. With all this information about terrorists they slide in who it was produced by and edited by and stuff like that. Some editing techniques they used were fade away and fade along with the writing next to the credits. some of these images may cause strong feelings for anybody who is impacted on 9/11. The reason for this is because many of the men listed were terrorists who were involved in this attack. Thank you for reading my blog have a great day.

In this short film there is also non-diegetic sound where music is play to show tension. Also lots of dialogue between the good guys and the bad guys. This dialogue is very different from the dialogue between the good guys and other characters because when talking to the bad guys there more aggressive.   Common Mis-En-Scene (CLAMPS) in your genre- In short films there is usually a good guy and bad guys. Many action shorts have police officers with bullet proof vests and weapons. The bad guys in action shorts and have larger guns and seem to have control of something of value. Movie Conventions Research: The Pale Blue Eye

Welcome back to my blog. This movie follows some of the conventions of mystery movies, but it also goes against many common conventions . Most of the story-based elements discussed in our genre research, like an enclosed area or wealth as a motive, were not present in this film . More specifically, in the case of going against the convention of enclosed areas, the movie has many outdoor shots spanning wide areas, including wide shots of dozens of men in the forest . Instead of wealth as a motive, the movie had revenge as a main motive for the killings . The biggest example of breaking conventions was the twist at the end of the movie . While having a twist is common , this particular instance was not, as it was revealed that the detective was the killer .
